Actor | Conservatory-Trained Dancer | Choreographer

Kimberly Prosa is a New York-trained actor, conservatory-trained dancer, and choreographer based in Auckland, New Zealand. A graduate of the Purchase College Conservatory of Dance, she has worked across screen, theatre, independent film, commercials, and original dance-theatre in both the United States and New Zealand.

Her screen work includes serving as a double for Natalie Portman in Darren Aronofsky's Academy Award-winning film Black Swan, creating choreography for the feature film Café of the King, and appearing in a national Flight Centre commercial in New Zealand. Her theatre work ranges from contemporary and devised performance to psychologically driven drama, while her choreographic work has been presented at venues including the International Human Rights Arts Festival, Dixon Place, Riverside Church Theatre, Theatre for the New City, and Manhattan Movement Arts Center in partnership with UNHCR.

Kimberly holds a PhD in Dance Studies from the University of Auckland. Her artistic practice is grounded in rigorous classical training while embracing choreography as a medium for exploring the complexity and contradictions of the human experience. Whether performing on screen, on stage, or creating original dance-theatre, she is drawn to stories that invite audiences to think, connect, and empathize with one another. Her work reflects a belief that movement is not simply technique or expression, but another language through which deeply human stories can be told.
